WARWICK FARM INSIDE MAIL

RACE 1: MAIDEN PLATE (1300m)

Dark Arts resumes off a nice trial at Rosehill on Oct 4. Sat outside the leader and kept under a good hold when a close second to Revolt with plenty to offer. Blinkers go on. Kicked off with a third at Canterbury last campaign. Sisu Spirit was doing his best work late when a nose second to French Ruler over 1200m at Newcastle on debut. Extra 100m suits. Divine Ella was a handy fourth on the Kensington before a closing second at Kembla in her first campaign. Led and cruised home to win her Kembla trial by early four lengths.

Bet: Dark Arts each-way

RACE 2: BENCHMARK 68 HANIDCAP (1400m)

Komodo Dragon overraced in the early stages and didn’t close off as well as expected when third to Hello World on the Kensington on Oct 9. He was jumping from a Kembla Class 1 to a BM72 and was five weeks between runs with a soft trial. He can bounce back. Evenflow turned in a good effort to lead all-the-way for a length-and-a-half win from Creek at Newcastle on Oct 5. Aye Aye Captain ran well in both runs of her first campaign. Resumed with a strong closing at Rosehill first-up over 1200m and looks even better suited going to 1400m.

Bet: Komodo Dragon to win

RACE 3: BENCHMARK 72 HANIDCAP (2140m)

State Of America got a long way back from a wide gate before closing off nicely for sixth to El Castello when returning from a let-up in a Randwick Midway on Sept 21. Appreciated the step up to 1800m and stormed home to beat Flying Bandit in a Randwick Midway on Oct 5. Kadavar has been just behind the placegetters in both runs back from a break in this grade over 1580m and 1800m. At his right trip now. Flying Bandit also got back and ran on well for second but was no match for the winner. Meets him 2kg better here.

Bet: State Of America to win

RACE 4: BENCHMARK 72 HANIDCAP (1000m)

Pisanello showed he is ready to kick off his campaign with two good trials. Sat back and wide and kept under a tight hold when just pipped by Giga Kick in his Canterbury heat before making late ground when third to Dominetta in his Randwick trial. Another Cognac is better than his last start tenth to Peace Treaty at Rosehill. Was a first-up winner this track and distance and in this grade. Expect him to figure prominently. Mabel resules from a spell and has a very good fresh record with three wins and three seconds eight starts. Nice third in her Hawkesbury trial on Oct 14.

Bet: Pisanello to win

RACE 5: BENCHMARK 78 HANIDCAP (1400m)

French Endeavour showed plenty of fight when a narrow second to Ravello when resuming at Warwick Farm and followed up with a smart win from Terrestar and Pippie Beach on the Kensington two weeks ago. Hard to beat again. Zouatica was far from disgraced when sixth to Compelling Truth in the Panorama at Bathurst first-up. Dominated on the Kensington second-up with a big win over 1400m. The testing material again. Edited By followed a good win from Getafix at Rosehill with a close second to Bullets High here.

Bet: French Endeavour to win

RACE 6: BENCHMARK 72 HANIDCAP (1300m)

Imported gelding Modesty is making his Australian debut. Sat near last and wide and was strong through the line without pressure when seventh in his trial here on Oct 15. He was a debut winner in England. Hello World resumed with a second to Beast Mode in August before a fifth to Kahhof at Sandown five weeks later. Fought back strongly to beat Heed The Omens and Komodo Dragon at his first Sydney run on the Kensington last start. Restonica is ready to step up to midweek grade after building a handy record at the provincials.

Bet: Modesty each-way

RACE 7: BENCHMARK 72 HANIDCAP (1600m)

Interjection broke his maiden with a narrow win from Firm Agreement at Newcastle first-up and went back-to-back with a handy win at Kembla. Took a big step up in class and not disgraced when a three-length fifth to Swiftfalcon in the Listed Dulcify Stakes at Randwick. Ambassadorial kicked off his campaign with a solid win from Anderson Bridge over this track and distance on Oct 7. His first two wins came back-to-back and is a chance of doing the same again. Anderson Bridge will be better for his first-up run and sure to figure prominently.

Bet: Interjection to win
