WARWICK FARM
SPORTSMAN PREVIEW: WARWICK FARM
BRAD DAVIDSON (Daily Telegraph)
DINGHU MOUNTAIN
Race 2, No. 2
His last race was more than two months ago but he trialled well at Rosehill earlier this month and looks well suited in this small field. He clocked the quickest last 1000m and 800m splits of the day at Rosehill in his latest victory on June 18 and a wet track won’t bother him.
STEPHEN ZAMMIT (Daily Telegraph)
ANTONIO GIUSEPPE
Race 5, No. 2
Hails from the leading yard of Chris Waller, and this gelding came with a big finish to score over 1550m at Canterbury on a heavy (8) on August 10. That was a most impressive Australian debut two starts back then won impressively a fortnight ago. Can keep progressing and looks right up to this.
JOHN DAVIS (Daily Telegraph)
STILETTOED VIXEN
Race 6, No. 8
Produced an encouraging effort when sound third to Extensible in much harder 1400m Rosehill Bm81 on August 13. Looks the testing material.
SHAYNE O’CASS (Sportsman)
IN TIMES OF WAR
Race 3, No. 12
Is a Gerry Harvey-owned and bred, Chris Waller-trained daughter of Winx’s sire Street Cry out of Magic Millions winner Military Rose. First things first, this filly should have zero issues on wet ground — if anything, she should love it. Her trials have been outstanding, that last one when third to the hugely talented Pirapala was a pearler. Unless the market says otherwise, she’s a good thing in this.
