SANDOWN (Lakeside)
MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun)
PEMBERLEY
Race 4, No. 7
Looks a nice galloper in the making. Resumed with impressive win at Sale. Has more potential than his rivals and after 1.5 kilos claim for Regan Bayliss will only carry 53.5 kilograms.
CANTERBURY
STEPHEN ZAMMIT (Daily Telegraph)
TRAFALGAR
Race 1, No. 1
Should finish No. 1 here, too. Trained by Chris Waller, the three-year-old scored an impressive debut win, then hit the line hard to just miss over 1800m at Randwick on New Year’s Day. Better for that outing and will relish the 1900m of this event.
JOHN DAVIS (Daily Telegraph)
HELFORD RIVER
Race 2, No. 12
Disappointed when she resumed at this course and distance last month but, interestingly, leading hoop James McDonald has elected to ride her, when he could have had the choice of three Chris Waller-trained mounts. Stick with him.
SHAYNE O’CASS (Sportsman)
UNBLEMISHED MARK
Race 7, No. 11
This Gooree owned and bred galloper is a 3YO taking on older horses, which is never an easy task, but he looks ready to peak. He was credible first-up here on December 16 then went to Rosehill 17 days after and ran a beauty. He was a long way back in the run but was doing great things over the last 300m to finish 1.6-lengths fourth behind Kangarilla Joy, who is Group standard.
MURRAY BRIDGE
LINCOLN MOORE (The Advertiser)
KESAN
Race 7, No. 3
High-priced youngster getting better with racing and comes off a good win here last time out. Out to the mile which looks ideal and should take some beating again for the Richard Jolly stable.
