HOT TIPS: WEEKEND BEST BETS
ROSEHILL
RAY THOMAS (Daily Telegraph). Tipsters’ Form: 0
SHARDS
Race 7, No. 5
Was slow away and still last into the straight but ran on powerfully for a very good fourth behind Spill The Beans in the Eskimo Prince Stakes. His comeback run was excellent and the increase to 1400m on a good track is ideal. Terrific each way value at $17.
TAB Fixed Odds: $17
NIC ASHMAN (Daily Telegraph). Tipsters’ Form: 26x14
BEYOND THANKFUL
Race 8, No. 1
Really stepped up last preparation winning the Wyong and Newcastle Cups. Showed he had returned in good order when fifth over the mile first-up and this is a highly winnable race. He also paraded ordinary first-up and I had him marked down as a big improver.
TAB Fixed Odds: $9
STEPHEN ZAMMIT (Daily Telegraph). Form: 37181
ALLERGIC
Race 8, No. 8
This is a smart gelding trained by John O’Shea, who rounded up his rivals to race clear and win over 2000m at Randwick on February 6. Is up in grade but down on the limit and can continue on his winning way.
TAB Fixed Odds: $2.40

JOHN DAVIS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 40300
BOLD CIRCLE
Race 9, No. 15
Has been scratched twice because of dud draws over the past month in the city but has been flying in private trackwork. Gets in on the limit and only needs one to drop out to gain a start. Makes strong appeal.
TAB Fixed Odds: $11
SHAYNE O’CASS (Sportsman). Form: 24351
TELEPATHIC
Race 5, No. 4
Is pretty good fresh and very honest. Don’t mistake her for a 2000m horse folks, she has won twice at 1200m and she certainly isn’t a dour type. She wins her races by using her main weapon, which is her change of foot. I thought she looked the part in her trial the other day. Blinkers on first time, while Jason Collett should really suit this mare — he’s a wonderful timer of runs.
TAB Fixed Odds: $13
DARREN PRENDERGAST (Superracing). Form: 20400
LIBRAN
Race 8, No. 7
Chris Waller-trained import caught the eye when rattling home for third behind Bull Point at Randwick. Will relish the step up in distance and is unbeaten second-up. Stick with him.
TAB Fixed Odds: $5

FLEMINGTON
MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun). Form: 18x24
CHARMED HARMONY
Race 8, No. 1
Star 1400m performer resuming. Has won five of his last seven starts and his two defeats in strong races were also tremendous runs. $5.50 looks appealing each-way value.
TAB Fixed Odds: $5.50
DANNY RUSSELL (Herald Sun). Form: 21164
TERRAVISTA
Race 7, No. 2
It might seem lunacy to take on Chautauqua and Exosphere, but they have drawn inside and Terravista is capable of stealing an early break.
TAB Fixed Odds: $8
SIMON MOY (Superracing). Form: 322x1
SACRED EYE
Race 5, No. 3
With improving track conditions expect bold showing. Form stable of Hayes & Dabernig is a factor. Can figure at reasonable odds in tough race.
TAB Fixed Odds: $7
CHRIS VERNUCCIO (Superracing). Form: 115x2
DAN ZEPHYR
Race 8, No. 10
Has hit a purple patch and with a low weight again can continue his winning streak.
TAB Fixed Odds: $5
NICK QUINN (TAB). Form: 12080
CHARMED HARMONY
Race 8, No. 1
Flemington specialist who won strongly last start and is in well at the weights after the claim.
Has won three of four first-up and looks a great each-way bet.
TAB Fixed Odds: $5.50

DOOMBEN
NATHAN EXELBY (The Courier-Mail). Form: 24x18
LAST SIGHT
Race 8, No. 10
Went like a bomb fresh for this stable last time in, clocking super fast time when easily beating a subsequent Saturday city winner at the Gold Coast. A bit of depth to this race, but a repeat of that fresh rating will see him winning here.
TAB Fixed Odds: $6
BEN DORRIES (The Courier-Mail). Form: 2426
MAJELLA MAGIC
Race 5, No. 9
Go back through the form and you will find a three-length fifth behind Counterattack in Sydney, yet you are getting $51 in some places here! Forget the last-start flop on a heavy track which she didn’t handle, and she is in this up to her ears at massive odds and with a perfect draw. The Tony Gollan polish provides more confidence that this is a terrific value bet.
TAB Fixed Odds: $51
BRAD DAVIDSON (Gold Coast Bulletin). Form: 34678
MARSHAL
Race 6 No. 9
Prepared to give this Gold Coast galloper one last chance and he was bolting on the turn last start over this track and distance and then just didn’t let down on the wet track. Hoping for a firmer surface this Saturday and he should be rock hard fit now. Just needs to run out the 1350m to go very close. Rated $8 so the $15 looks juicy.
TAB Fixed Odds: $15

MORPHETTVILLE
BEN SCADDEN (The Advertiser). Form: 75682
DUCKWORTH
Race 4, No. 1
Very strong winner here two starts back then lost all chance when severely checked a fortnight ago. Drawn nicely here and has a solid record on the Parks circuit. Looks terrific each-way value.
