The Big Cat is now the internet’s Big Dog.
Tiger Woods is experiencing a whole new kind of viral fame after a post from X account No Laying up posted a screen grab of him going in for a handshake at last week’s PNC Championship and calling an out-of-frame person “Big dog.”

“Running into someone whose name I should definitely remember but I don’t,” the account posted on Dec. 18, kicking off Woods’ latest internet takeover.
Miami Dolphins long snapper even got in on the fun, using the meme to pump up his Pro Bowl campaign.
“Me to the people who retweet this tweet,” Ferguson wrote. “#ProBowlVote Blake Ferguson.”
It’s unclear if Woods is aware of his latest infamy, but the 47-year-old was happy to play the tournament alongside son Charlie, 14, with daughter Sam, 16, caddying.
“It couldn’t have been any more special for us,” Woods said after the first of two rounds.
But it was the Big Dog moment that took over as social media had a field day with the moment.

The Woods tied for fifth in the tournament, finishing behind winners Bernhard Langer and son Jason, but they provided no shortage of highlights.
Charlie’s chip in for birdie on the 15th hole left his father laughing — especially after he stared, walked sideways, raised a finger and fist-pumped.
“To see his reaction … it happened right in front of me,” Woods said. “He got excited and I looked over at [Steve Stricker] and he was shaking his head. It was great.”
It was a promising weekend for Woods, who was able to walk all but one round as he continues to deal with injuries, as he looks forward to a bigger 2024.
“I’ll be able to walk and play,” he said.
“We’ve been working out hard, been able to recover. We’ve been training every day, which is great. It’s been nice to knock off a lot of rust and some of the doubt that I’ve had because quite frankly, I haven’t hit a shot that counted in a long time.
“Having to post a score and hit shots on the right number, and hit shots with consequence, it’s been nice.”
Coupled with a new meme, Woods will have plenty to remember about the weekend.
