ON THE golf course, Greg Norman has been known to choke on more than one occasion. The Shark gave away a number of near certain victories on the green through his own inability to finish what he started.

Norman has put a different spin on his infamous ‘choking’ while commentating at the US Open. In an attempt to describe fellow Aussie Jason Day’s medical reason for his recent bout of vertigo, Norman found himself slightly short on words.

Apparently that was supposed to be ‘otolith’ — the technical term for the small bone in the ear that regulates balance. Let’s just hope Norman steers clear of medical jargon for the rest of his commentating days.
