Gold Coaster Jayden Eynaud set to fight former UFC star Uriah Hall after online feud

A Gold Coast Married At First Sight contestant who doubles as a kickboxing world champion could be set to step into the ring with a renowned UFC fighter after an online feud between the pair.

An online stoush between UFC legend Uriah Hall and a three-time kickboxing world champion who appeared on Married At First Sight is set to spill into the ring.

The feud between the former reality television figure and Hall was sparked in the aftermath of Jayden Eynaud’s first round knockout of Adam Rosa Ramos at Karate Combat 51 in Miami on December 19.

After his debut Karate Combat win, Gold Coast-based Eynaud called out Karate Combat president Asim Zaidi, asking for a $100,000 knockout bonus – something a rival promoter offers his fighters.

“Everyone in the crowd thought it was worthy of a bonus … the closed mouth doesn’t get fed, so you’ve got to ask,” Eynaud said.

“It was a pretty good (knockout), the guy was out for probably five or six minutes. I was happy to put on a performance for my first show.

“Now this old UFC fighter is calling me out, we’re just having a bit of beef online so I though f*** him, we’ll have to go knock him out too.”

Under a clip posted to the Karate Combat Instagram account, that boasts 1.7 million Instagram followers, Hall commented: “How about I knock him out and you give him the hundred thousand.”

The pair went back and forth, with Hall finishing by writing “let me know when you’re ready to scrap.”

The Karate Combat Instagram account has since teased a fight between the pair.

“Uriah Hall and Jayden Eynaud have been going at it in the comments … and we’re just sat here with some popcorn,” the post read.

“(Uriah Hall) vs. (Jayden Eynaud) in the pit in 2025?”

If a fight were to take place it is expected to be in the first three to four months of this year.

“Already we’re looking at that for the next fight, that’s probably what it’s going to be … 100 per cent, very likely,” Eynaud said of the prospect of taking on Hall.

“In mixed martial arts as a whole he would be the biggest name I’ve fought, but it’s not my concern, just another body in the way.

“I don’t know much about the bloke to be honest.”

Hall is now 40 years of age and made his name on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ series, and was known for his lethal spinning kick, which could produce brutal knockouts. He retired from the UFC with an 18-11-0 record, and has since turned to boxing where he has fought on two Jake Paul undercards.

Before his Karat Combat debut in December, Eynaud travelled to Russia to fight Sergey Ponomarev in Ural FC 8, where the hometown Russian prevailed by split decision despite a strong showing from Eynaud.

Karate Combat describes itself as the world’s “premier full contact striking league”, and Eynaud is in talks to sign a six-fight exclusive contract with the league.

“It’s a new mix between Muay Thai and stand up wrestling, it’s basically MMA without all the boring stuff on the ground,” Eynaud said.

“There’s no grappling and wrestling and wasting time on the ground, it’s all action, no bullshit.”
