Strong international entry figures for 2016 Gold Coast Marathon good for economy

GOLD Coast Marathon organisers hope a strong increase in international entries on previous years will mean more dollars for local businesses come early next month.

GOLD Coast Marathon organisers are hoping a strong increase in international entries means more dollars for local businesses.

With a week left until entries close, Tourism and Major Events Minister Kate Jones yesterday told the Gold Coast Bulletin 3250 runners from 59 countries had registered for the event, compared to about 3000 in 2015.
