The superheroes were were continually photographed along their run in-line with Guinness Book of World Records rules in hopes of making their efforts official.
The friends, who know each other from the Mountain Goat Trail Runners club, had a test-run in their costumes through Brisbane City a week ago.
Their efforts also raised more than $6500 for charity Save the Children, which their most experienced runner Mr Dale has fundraised for over the last several years.
If their calculations are correct and their time is approved, it means they beat the last world record by six minutes.
They celebrated their achievement with plenty of beer.
