Miles of smiles: How Gold Coast enjoyed day one of marathon weekend

The Gold Coast marathon weekend has got off to a fantastic start, with thousands of people turning out to enjoy four races today. Take a look back at all the colour and excitement of the first morning.

Good morning Gold Coast. It's marathon weekend and we couldn't be more excited! 

Saturday's races are  always so much fun, starting with the Southern Cross University 10km Run at 6.30, followed by the Gold Coast Airport Fun Run at 8am, the Garmin 2km Junior Dash at 9.25 and finally the Garmin 4km Junior Dash at 9.40.
