THE Gold Coast Bulletin is teaming up with Ford Performance racing and Castrol Edge to offer the ultimate experience at next week’s GC600.

THE rush is on to find southeast Queensland’s next V8 Supercar star and the Gold Coast Bulletin is doing its bit to speed up the search.

Ford Performance Racing’s Mark Winterbottom has teamed with Castrol Edge and the Gold Coast Bulletin to create a money-can’t-buy experience.

On October 22, one lucky reader will be taken for a ride and then given a personal driving lesson by Winterbottom at the V8 Supercar Driving Experience at Norwell.

The winner will also receive two three-day GA tickets to the Castrol Edge Gold Coast 600, two Castrol/FPR merchandise packs and a personal pit tour of the FPR garage.

The prize will be a fantastic way to kick-off preparations for Queensland’s biggest annual sporting event, which will also be the deciding round of the unique Pirtek Endurance Cup.

The Norwell facility, owned by Gold Coaster and FPR co-driver Paul Morris, is the only official V8 Supercar Driving Experience in the world.

Winterbottom and the winner will be driving the latest edition to the V8 Supercar Driving Experience which is a replica of Winterbottom’s Pepsi Max Crew Ford.

“The Castrol Edge Gold Coast 600 is one of the highlights of the year for us,” Winterbottom said.

“Hopefully we provide an experience for the winner of this competition which will be one of the highlights of their life.

“The V8 Experience is a terrific concept and I am looking forward to taking our prize winner for a ride and giving them a few driving tips.

“This is as close as most people can ever get to driving a V8 Supercar.”

Morris, who will co-drive with Winterbottom’s regular FPR teammate Chaz Mostert on the Gold Coast, believed this competition was one of the best he had been involved with.

“The Pepsi Max Crew Ford and the Red Bull Holden are the latest two editions to our V8 Supercar Driving Experience fleet and they look fantastic,” Morris said.

“I am sure the winner of the competition will get the buzz of a lifetime with ‘Frosty” behind the wheel and in the passenger’s seat of the Pepsi Max machine.

“Who knows, we might find the next V8 Supercar champion.”
