Getaway host Charli Robinson to quizz Liam Talbot at Porsche lunch

TV’s Charli Robinson says she may ask her race car driver partner Liam Talbot a very personal question during an interview in front of a GC600 audience.

THE GC600 has made plenty of changes this year but one glitzy social mainstay of the Supercars long weekend isn’t going anywhere - and TV’s Charli Robinson is thrilled.

The Miss Supercars contest might have been axed and concerts moved from Southport to Surfers Paradise, but the annual Platinum charity lunch at QT Gold Coast is back.

Channel 9’s Getaway host Ms Robinson will host the soiree which incidentally is backed by Porsche Centre Gold Coast and will feature her race car driver partner Liam Talbot.

Asked how she’ll go at the lunch interviewing Talbot, who races in the Porsche PAYCE Carrera Cup during the GC600, she says: “Sometimes I feel like he doesn’t listen to me but now I’ll have a microphone and a crowd so I can really ask him anything I like and he has to listen.

“I might hit him with the hard questions like ‘Will we ever get married?’,” she says.

“I’m sure I’ll stick to motorsport but I guess you’ll have to be there to find out.”

Reigning - and the last ever - Miss Supercars Gabriella Bottarelli will be at the Platinum lunch, saying her year as been a change of pace “going from an office with no windows to standing on the grid of Australia’s most loved motorsport every three weeks.

“I can’t wait until GC600,” she says of the October 26-27 weekend.

The Platinum lunch on Friday October 25 is $125 per person including lunch and three hours drinks with all proceeds to No Second Chance Charity for teens dealing with youth violence and road accidents.
