“All seated tickets have been sold and incredibly this is the third time it’s happened at People First Stadium this year – Richmond, Essendon and now Collingwood, so an amazing result,” Evans said.

“We’ve had great support from the Gold Coast community, it means they’re really getting behind us and they can see what’s happening with our club.

“There’s only two ways you can get into the match now – you can buy a standing room ticket or there are a small number of seats still available for Blockbuster memberships which gives you access to two games.

“Let’s Paint the Town Red and make sure Collingwood feel a presence as they come to our home fortress.

“Wear your red colours and make sure you come out and cheer loudly, let’s get us over the line against the Pies.”

Gold Coast Suns co-captain Jarrod Witts was also thrilled to know the clash was sold-out.

“It builds up to the atmosphere of the game knowing that it’s sold out early days throughout the week, it’ll be great to see a big crowd,” Witts said.

“Obviously Collingwood have a strong supporter base, but if we can get out there and overcome them and make the stadium really loud and bring great energy it gives the players a massive boost.”

The Suns and Collingwood last met in round 16, 2023, and the match was attended by 22,483 spectators to make it the third-largest AFL crowd achieved at People First Stadium.

The highest attended Suns match was also a home clash against Collingwood back in 2013, which netted 24,032 spectators.

Two-game blockbuster memberships, which also includes entry to a second Suns home match, are available from $49 for juniors and $69 for adults.
