GOLD Coast United Under-15 NPL coach Stu Hallam is expecting to be without Brad Boor for months after the junior playmaker suffered a horrific injury on Wednesday night.
Boor dislocated his knee and fractured his thigh bone during a run of the mill challenge against the Gold Coast Knights in a midweek catch-up match.

The two teams played 13 minutes before the injury occurred, forcing the match to be abandoned as they waited for an ambulance to arrive.
Hallam, who was around 70 yards away from the incident, said he’d never heard of anything like it happening on the football field.
“It wasn’t a dirty tackle, it was a fair challenge and both boys hit different sides of the football at the same time and I think Brad was a bit off-balance,” he said.
“It was the sort of challenge you see all the time but it isn’t a common injury.
“A couple of the boys close to the incident were a bit taken back and we tried to keep them away from Brad and retain their focus in case we had to start playing again.
“To me, it looked like he’d dislocated his kneecap which is something I’d seen before but the break happened above the knee and I’ve not heard of that happening on the football field before.”

It’s expected the match will be rescheduled for a later date.
United are set to play Moreton Bay United FC on Sunday morning, 14 days after defeating the Eastern Suburbs 4-1 at home in Round 3.
“We’ve got a few players who are now stuck in New South Wales and can’t train or play so we’re relying on the co-operation of other teams and Football Queensland to see if we can play some games at home so they can actually cross the border,” Hallam said.
Gold Coast United’s senior men are set to host Capalaba FC on Sunday at home while United’s women face the South West Queensland Thunder on Saturday afternoon.
The Gold Coast Knights have a bye.
