THE Gold Coast Knights have made another emphatic NPL title statement with a comfortable 3-0 triumph over fellow heavyweights Peninsula Power in Saturday night’s battle at the Croatian Sports Centre.
Entering the game on the back of three-straight wins, including a 9-0 rout of Redlands seven days earlier, the Knights were rarely troubled by the Power as a Max Brown double handed them a 2-0 halftime lead.

Defender Jaiden Walker then added a third goal early in the second half to all but kill the contest, with attacker Nick Panetta awarded man of the match honours after posing a constant threat to the visitors’ defence.
The Knights (12 points) now sit second with four-consecutive wins but have a game in hand on ladder-leading Lions (13 points).
Gold Coast United are sixth after picking up their second victory in a successful 2-1 visit to Mackay and Whitsundays on Saturday night.
