The Adelaide Crows are set to welcome a new member of the family, with utility Chayce Jones announcing he and partner Nicola Grant are expecting their first child together.
The couple took to social media to share the news on Wednesday, with the 24-year-old quickly flooded by well-wishes.
“We can’t wait to meet you baby J,” Jones wrote.
Former Crows AFLW captain Chelsea Randall, who welcomed her first child Tomi with partner and former Crow Marijana Rajcic in October last year, said she was “super excited and happy” for the pair.
Last year, Jones, the ninth pick in the 2018 national draft, re-signed with the club until the end of 2026 after a career-best season – with the Tasmanian’s new deal set to expire 12 months before a team from the Apple Isle enters the competition.
Jones’s news comes after in-form midfielder Matt Crouch welcomed his second child with fiancee Ellie Symons, Charlie Jack, in March.
Crouch and Symons, who became engaged in 2021, are already parents to 14-month-old girl Ava Jayne.
