THE Southport School coach Ross Wallace has issued a warning to his side’s GPS first XI rivals, insisting captain Jack Hocart is yet to hit full stride in their pursuit of a fourth-straight crown.
With scores of 11, 24 and 6, Hocart has shown only glimpses of his potential as TSS head into tomorrow’s top-of-the-table battle with Brisbane Boys’ College with a two-point competition lead.
Both sides have a game in hand on the chasing pack of Gregory Terrace, Nudgee College and Ipswich Grammar, with the winner to move a giant step closer to the crown with two games to play.

And Wallace believes Hocart is the ace up his sleeve.
“I’ve got some very good players in this side, none better than Jack Hocart,” said Wallace, who has steered TSS to seven titles in the past 10 seasons.
“He hasn’t hit form yet, he’s hit three starts and hasn’t gone on. He seems to be finding one ball a game that gets him out.
“Hopefully we’ll improve tomorrow, we can beat this side. It’s a crunch game, this one and the next one (against Gregory Terrace).
DOMINANT DOLPHINS OUT TO MAKE FINALS STATEMENT
“You don’t know what’s around the corner with this virus and rain (so) we’ve got to win tomorrow. If we win these next two games it will go a long way towards winning the comp.”
TSS are coming off a 59-run win over Brisbane Grammar School, their third in a row.
Play begins at 10am tomorrow at Toowong.
