SuperCoach BBL: Shane Warne’s team red hot heading into round 5

My SuperCoach BBL side is tearing up the rankings and we now sit 3,799 of 84,000 teams.

But perhaps most importantly, I’ve improved to third in the Fox Sports commentary league after taking down Kerry O’Keeffe.

I went hard for Thunder players last week as they had a double game — and the tactic paid off with Fawad Ahmed (128), Daniel Sams (114) and Jos Buttler (96) all going large.

URGENT: Why SuperCoaches need more Renegades

SUPERCOACH BIBLE: Who to target in round 5

We have another important match-up this round against Michael Vaughan, who I’m desperate to beat as we have a dinner shout riding on the result.

However, victory appears a mere formality with “Her Majesty’s Men” sitting a lowly 25,688 in the rankings, mainly due to Vaughan’s stubborn refusal to pick any Australians.

With my side in such good form, I see no real need to change a winning formula and I’m therefore making no trades this round.

My team is already well set for this week and also next round’s double, so I’m happy to back the guys who got the job done last round.

Taking the week off trading also gives me the chance to assess who will be picked for the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka, which will have a huge bearing on SuperCoach.

For example, I’ll be forced to sell my best performing player D’Arcy Short next week if he makes the limited overs side as he’d be unavailable for Big Bash.

And on the other side of the coin, Chris Lynn is a must for “Club 23 Legends” if he misses the ODI side as he’ll be available for Heat’s round six double.

The Renegades are another target team for next round as they’re also on the double, with Kane Richardson, Daniel Christian and Mohammad Nabi all on the shopping list.
