HE may be the most decorated soldier in Australia’s history and a coveted Victoria Cross recipient, but MG Ben Roberts-Smith revealed a surprising sport he will be glued to during the Commonwealth Games.
Roberts-Smith, now the general manager of Seven Queensland, was given the highest award in Australia’s honours system for his actions during a helicopter assault into Tizak in June 2010 while serving with the Special Air Service Regiment in Afghanistan.

And while you might safely assume wrestling, Rugby or athletics would be the war warrior’s favourite sport, Roberts-Smith revealed he was actually a gymnastics fanatic.
“I actually really like the gymnastics,” he told Games Confidential.
“Of course I appreciate all sports and the determination and talent that comes from the athletes but there’s something about the gymnastics I really enjoy.
“They are extremely tough and talented.
“That’s probably the main one I’ll be watching.”
