ABORIGINAL protesters have hijacked channel seven’s sunrise program at Broadbeach.
Host David Koch said he and his co-hosts respected the group’s right to protest.
“But We have to be a little careful with language and aggression because ... we get a lot of families and kids,” he said.
“It is the school holidays here, it is the Commonwealth Games.
“While we respect everyone’s right to protest, it needs to be a bit controlled.”

Co-host Samantha Armytage questioned the protesters targeting their program.
“The original program that sparked this was about children at risk, not about land rights,” she said.
The network copped flak for a segment earlier this month where a panel of three non-indigenous people discussed forced removal of Aboriginal and Islander children from homes authorities believed were unsafe.
Protesters on Broadbeach were chanting “always was, always will be Aboriginal land”.
During an ad break, Koch turned around to the protesters and said: “Do your homework”.
Armytage also took a swipe at Nine when the rival network’s crews arrived to cover the story.
“Big clap for Channel Nine, it’s the only way they can get some ratings on TV,” she sniped when off-air.
The Stolenwealth Games protesters have been on the Gold Coast for more than a week now to protest the Commonwealth Games and advocate for indigenous land rights.

The group consists of protesters from around the country and were allocated a “base camp” at Doug Jennings Park near The Spit.
While many of their protests have been peaceful, the activists have caused some disruptions to the Games including blocking the Queen’s Baton Relay and attempting to force their way into the Opening Ceremony.
