QAFL
Aspley, Daniel Webster: Liam Dawson for his ability to intercept the ball.
Broadbeach, Craig O’Brien: James Gledhill
Labrador, Clint Watts: Jayden Young, he‘s one of our co-captains and is an outstanding key defender.
Maroochydore, Ben Jones: Josh Wagner, he‘s a great intercept marker, plays quite an attacking role at half back and leads the Roos defensive unit.
Morningside, Paul Egan: Liam Dwyer and Deklan Wille are our key tall defenders but also Jackson Hille who gives us a lot of run and drive.
Mt Gravatt, Tony Lynn: Gavin Grose, our veteran who never gets beaten, does all the simple things really well and is a great leader on the field.
Noosa, Chris Rourke: Lachlan Flagg
Palm Beach Currumbin, Jess Sinclair: Joshua Lys, we normally give him a job whether it be to run and play on a rebounding defender or even send him into the midfield to tag and he always does a job.
Redland Victoria Point, Phil Carse: Hard to go past Adrian Williams for that one, he’s been in great form.
Sherwood, Jarad Marsh: Toara Marango, it’s what he’s good at as a big, tall defender
Surfers Paradise, Matt Lappin: Brody Haberfield, he‘s our best defender and I think puts some fear into the opposition when he’s in the area.
Wilston Grange, Brent Moloney: Hugh Fidler
QAFLW
Aspley Hornets: Lucy Pengelly. Has been a stand alone star this year and made the state team, a much awaited recognition for her talent.
Yeronga: Lucy Bellinger. Captain, very consistent every game
University of QLD: Jessi Henning. Without a doubt, Hedding is the best defensive player in UQ ranks.
Coorparoo Kings: Bonnie Farrell. Phenomenal intercept positioning and a silky left boot to get out anything.
Maroochydore Roos: Sarah-Jane O’Grady. Every week is proving herself as the best in the biz.
