Brisbane Bullets move base in the hope of increasing exposure

The Brisbane Bullets will no longer be “out of sight and out of mind” once they move to their new training and administration base.

Bullets boss Malcolm Watts says the NBL club will revive its “emotional connection’’ with the Brisbane community by shifting its training and administration headquarters to a purpose-built high performance centre in the “heart of the city”.

Currently located in the suburban Nissan Arena, where they also play their home matches, the Bullets are moving to a soon-to-be completed South Brisbane facility that will include a new gym, FIBA-approved court, shooting bays, enhanced treatment and recovery spaces, office spaces and a player lounge.

“For the Brisbane Bullets to finally have a home that is fit for purpose will be a game changer and provides a significant platform for the club to perform on and off the court,” the club’s chief executive Malcolm Watts said.

“The Brisbane Bullets have been out of sight and out of mind for too long. To be able to bring the club to the heart of the city will reinstill the emotional connection that the Brisbane community has with this amazing organisation.”

The Bullets believe the facility’s location will benefit the club and its partners due to “increased brand presence and exposure” to the four million vehicles that pass by it each year.
