A star has been born with an MMA fighter dropping jaws around the world with a truly staggering walk-off knockout.

A star has been born.

MMA fighter Lany Silva has announced herself on the world stage with a brutal knockout win to become LFA world champion.

The 22-year-old Brazilian has dropped jaws around the word with a hellacious KO at LFA 201 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Saturday (AEDT).

Silva dropped opponent Rose Conceicao with a devastating left leg kick to the head to become LFA strawweight champ.

The talented fighter consistently tried to land high leg kicks throughout the fight and she finally got the strike she was after in the fifth round when Conceicao took the heavy contact to the side of the head and crumpled backwards.

Silva did not chase up the strike with any additional shots on the ground and was able to celebrate as medical officials raced to attend to her opponent.

Understandably the KO has got the fight world talking

Videos of the finishing move have gone viral with one version shared by a prominent MMA account viewed more than 128,000 times.

The Women’s WMMA Rankings account called it “2025’s most violent KO yet”.

Combat sport journalist Marcel Dorff posted: “Holy s***! Lany Silva absolutely starched Rose Conceicao in the fifth round and is the new LFA strawweight champion”.

Silva has put it on record that she wants to cross over to the UFC in coming years.

The LFA is affiliated with the UFC and LFA 201 was broadcast on UFC Fight Pass.

Her popularity will make her an appealing contender to join the UFC with her Instagram following exceeding 59,000 followers.

She shared a photo on instagram on Sunday morning showing her sleeping with her new belt.

“That typical pic hahahaha God is good,” she posted.
