Jeff Horn expecting third child but won’t rule out return to boxing

Brisbane boxing legend Jeff Horn is expecting his third child, but he hasn’t ruled out a return to the ring – if the price is right.

Jeff Horn is lacing on the gloves again – the kid gloves – as he and wife Jo get set to welcome their third child. Brisbane’s boxing hero has revealed he is preparing for another round of fatherhood, with Jo just over three months pregnant.

Due in April, the baby will be a sister or brother to the Horns’ two girls, Isabelle, 4, and Charlotte, 2.

Horn said they had not yet found out the sex but were planning a gender reveal party.

“A boy would be great but I’d be very happy with another girl,” he said.

“Jo has two sisters so she’d probably like another girl.

“I’ll be happy as long as he or she is healthy.

“Isabelle and Charlotte are really excited.

“They keep kissing Jo’s tummy and talking to the baby.”

The fighting schoolteacher hasn’t stepped into the ring since his stunning defeat at the hands of Tim Tszyu in Townsville in September last year.

He was expected to hang up the gloves but Horn – who has made millions from the fight game, including his celebrated victory over the legendary Manny Pacquiao in 2017 – claimed earlier this year he had not officially retired.

“If I got an offer of at least $1 million to fight again, I would give it serious consideration,” he said.

Horn, who has won 20 of his 24 pro fights, has spoken of a possible rematch with Tszyu.

But with the Sydney slugger set to fight for a world title next year, Horn said he would be an unlikely opponent.

“I’d probably just slow him down – he’s beaten me already and doesn’t need to do that again,” he said.

Horn said he was living the dream, spending time with his young family, giving anti-bullying talks in schools, working out and playing a bit of social poker.
