Round 5 in SuperCoach NBL is all about one player. See the No.1 trade target this week and how to set up your team in a few clicks.

All roads lead to one man this week in SuperCoach NBL – Parker Jackson-Cartwright.

New Zealand returns to action after two weeks on the bye and play three double-game rounds in a row, making Breakers a priority with round 5 trades. And the Breakers’ biggest star Jackson Cartwright is one of the best scorers in fantasy.

Even better, because they have played only two rounds so far, none of the NZ players have changed in value yet – but they will after next weekend.

Here’s a quickfire guide to everything you need to know to get your team ready to fire in round 5.

ON THE DOUBLE

The schedule is the key to SuperCoach NBL success. Targeting players from teams that play twice in a round will give you twice as many opportunities to score points.

There are just two teams on the double this week – NZ Breakers and Tasmania JackJumpers.

Did we mention the Breakers have the best schedule in the competition with six games in the next three rounds?

After successive doubles Adelaide now goes on a run of six straight singles, so get 36ers out of your team pronto!

Sydney Kings are also on a single this week but have doubles in the following two rounds, so it could pay to hang onto players like Xavier Cooks and Alex Toohey. Jaylen Adams is a different story after he missed the second game of the Kings’ round 4 double through injury. If he does play this week he’s in for another huge price drop.

Jackson-Cartwright averaged a wild 50 points a game in the first two rounds and was the second-highest scorer in SuperCoach NBL last season, behind only Bryce Cotton. He’s a must-have, the only question is how to cover his $421k price tag.

Fortunately, the next-best averaging Breakers this season are more affordable – Matt Mooney (25) is $277k and Sam Mennenga (20.5) is $154.8k. Dane Pineau ($69k) is a bargain basement option who scored 15 in round 1 and just one point in round 2. He could be an option for your bench.

CAPTAIN CALL

PJC will be an enormously popular captain next round, and probably the two following rounds as well. In fact, it would be a brave move to pick anyone else. Will Magnay and Milton Doyle are the most likely JackJumpers to post a huge score on the double, although Doyle is coming off a zero last round which doesn’t fill us with confidence.
