Paige Spiranac’s post-game NFL commentary is no doubt triggering several double-eye emojis on Twitter.
Following the Kansas City Chiefs’ loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship game on Monday, the golfer-turned-influencer offered a few words about quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his often-maligned inner circle, including the superstar quarterback’s fiancee Brittany Matthews.
Matthews, who has been dating the Chiefs quarterback, 26, since high school, is known for her bold tweets in defence of her fiance’s team.
Her divisive social media antics triggered a social media backlash last week when she was filmed spraying champagne into the crowd from her suite at the team’s Arrowhead Stadium.
Spiranac has also targeted Mahomes’ younger brother Jackson, another divisive TikTok influencer, who has recently been accused of acting entitled by a local Kansas City bar.
It’s one of many reasons Spiranac’s unprovoked attack has been received so well with more than 32,000 likes on Twitter.
“Patrick Mahomes is down bad. Imagine losing today and then having to go home to Jackson and Brittany making TikToks,” Spiranac tweeted.
The polarising duo was also called out last month by Instagram star Amanda Vance, a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, who was the apparent target of Kansas City supporters after the Chiefs’ Week 16 win against Pittsburgh.
“Talk your c**p in my dms KC fans, but you have to deal with this for the next 15 years,” Vance wrote on her Instagram Story, which included a photo of Matthews and Jackson.
Meanwhile, Spiranac, who is also a Steelers fan, also appeared to give a nod to Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, sharing a photo of the 25-year-old from a previous post-game press conference.

Burrow, the No. 1 overall draft pick in 2020, finished Monday’s game by throwing for 250 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.
