Jackson tackled Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks as Bills lineback Tremaine Edmunds came flying in.

Unfortunately Edmunds missed his mark and slammed into the head of his own teammate, snapping back Jackson’s head and neck in violent scenes.

The force of the shot left Jackson motionless on the turf as trainers rushed to his side as a silence fell around the stadium.

For several minutes the Bills star was surrounded by medical staff as at first the cart emerged from the tunnel before an ambulance appeared.

The ambulance was brought onto the field as Jackson was slowly loaded on and taken away as fans held their breath.

The Bills provided an update on the defensive star shortly after the ambulance left the stadium.

“CB Dane Jackson has been taken to ECMC for evaluation of a neck injury. He will be getting a CT scan and an x-ray. Jackson has full movement in extremities,” a statement read.
