THE Gold Coast Suns have been dealt their hand for the 2020 season.
The Suns are one of just two teams who won’t feature in a Friday night match while they will also be absent from Thursday-night footy.
They got their wish of Saturday games and here are the five home games Suns fans should have high on their priority list to get to.
Round 1 - Gold Coast v Port Adelaide, March 21. Starts 6.26pm at Metricon Stadium.
Gold Coast’s first four home games of the 2020 season are against teams who missed out on the finals in 2019 and it puts getting wins on the board early hugely important.

The Suns have had favourable early draws in recent seasons and have started off well before falling off the cliff.
Getting these wins is the start they need before trying to turn their habitual drop off around.

Round 13 - Gold Coast v St Kilda, Saturday, June 13. Starts 4.05pm at TIO Stadium.
Gold Coast will play for premiership points for the first time when it comes up against the Saints in Darwin.
The Suns won’t return to Riverway Stadium in Townsville next season but they will increase their presence in a region that is now part of their academy.
Round 16 - Gold Coast v Carlton, Saturday, July 5. Starts 1.10pm at Metricon Stadium.
With Jack Martin looking likely to get his desired move to Carlton eventually, a game the Suns usually have a major chance in now has an added plot.

Martin has been at the Suns since the age of 17 but will likely roll out for the Blues in what would be his first game back at Metricon since his departure.
Fans were split on whether to boo Gary Ablett, who moved for family reasons, so how will they react to Martin?
It will also be held during the school holidays, opening the door for more local families and interstate fans to head to Metricon Stadium.
Round 18 - Gold Coast v Richmond, Saturday, July 18. Starts 2.10pm at Metricon Stadium.
The biggest club that will play against the Suns at Metricon Stadium in 2020.
The 2019 premiers have a big following and help fill the seats at Gold Coast’s Carrara base.
Gold Coast suffered a 92-point loss to the Tigers in Round 16 this year and will be hoping to put in a better performance.
Round 22 - Gold Coast v Brisbane, August 15. Starts at 7.25pm at Metricon Stadium.
The QClash games usually deliver some of the most exciting moments for Gold Coast every year and with the added twist of Callum Ah Chee’s defection to the Lions, this will be extra spicy.
The Suns will play Brisbane twice, first in Round 10 at the Gabba before hosting the 2019 finalists in their second last game of the regular season.
Brisbane were on fire in 2019 and Gold Coast will be eager to see how they measure up against them.
