Hodge to wear same number as great mate

LUKE Hodge has chosen the number he will wear at Brisbane, opting to pick the same guernsey number as one of his best mates, while Gold Coast has officially moved on from Gary Ablett after handing over his No.9.

BRISBANE Lions chairman Bob Sharpless has informed the board he will resign in order to provide the club with clean air as it eyes a new training base in Springfield.

AFLW players win big pay rise

AFLW players will receive a big pay rise ahead of the second season, with some players set to earn a 23 per cent hike after the league agreed to renegotiate its existing deal.
