Can Chris Scott find a spot for Shaun Mannagh this week?
The mature-age recruit busted down the selection door with a monster game in the VFL, racking up 21 disposals, 10 tackles and kicking 6.1 against Sandringham – a performance worth 179 SuperCoach points.
Mannagh played the opening two rounds before being sent back to the VFL, and has been on the bubble in SuperCoach ever since.
He remains in 53,000 teams in Australia’s biggest fantasy game, and those owners would be thrilled to get some extra bench reinforcements late in the season.
Mannagh’s problem might be that Geelong reported no injuries from its big win over Essendon, but he couldn’t do any more.

His big SuperCoach return was well short of the top score by an AFL-listed player at stage league level last weekend.
That title goes to young Gold Coast ruckman Ned Moyle, whose insane stat line against Frankston reads: 71 hitouts (20 to advantage), 22 disposals, 18 contested possessions, three intercept marks, 13 clearances, two goals – and 219 SuperCoach points.
Jarrod Witts was assessed for a back issue during Saturday’s win against Collingwood and played out the game – but if he needs a week off, the Suns have a replacement waiting in the wings.
Other key scores from round 14 in the VFL, round 12 in the SANFL and round 13 in the WAFL, include:
COLBY McKercher played another week in the VFL as the Kangaroos manage his foot injury. He scored 119 SuperCoach points from 26 disposals and two goals and will surely be part of selection discussions this week.
ONE of Richmond’s mid-season draft recruits – Jacob Blight – made his AFL debut and impressed against Carlton. The Tigers’ other MSD pick, Campbell Gray, might not be far behind after kicking four goals and scoring 108 SuperCoach points in the VFL. Gray is a $102k DEF/FWD in SuperCoach.
HAWTHORN pre-season star Henry Hustwaite continued his strong year in the VFL with a huge 182-point game from 34 disposals and 12 tackles. Unfortunately, the Hawks team is a tough one to crack right now.
KARL Worner did his chances of a recall at Fremantle no harm with 141 points from 29 disposals and 13 intercept possessions for Peel Thunder.
IF MAX Gawn needs a rest, ex-Lion Tom Fullarton played in the ruck for Casey, had 23 disposals and scored 156 SuperCoach points.
MATTAES Phillipou could get another chance at AFL level soon after scoring 137 SuperCoach points for Sandringham from 31 disposals, two goals and nine tackles.
