BRETT Eddy. Tick. Sam Powell-Pepper. Tick.
It was the perfect final hitout for Port Adelaide and eager SuperCoaches who watched the Power defeat the Hawks at Hickinbotham Oval with fantasy rookies Eddy and Powell-Pepper all but secure Round 1 debuts.
Eddy was a standout as he booted four goals in a stunning third term to set up the win before finishing with five majors and 104 points.

Powell-Pepper started the game in blistering fashion with seven disposals and a goal to quarter time before finishing with 23 disposals for a handsome 82 points.
The news was good from a Hawthorn point of view too, with gun recruit Jaeger O’Meara playing a full game and collected 27 disposals for 93 points.
Tom Mitchell was the Hawks’ leading disposal winner with 29 for 109 points but Will Langford top scored with 115 in a sign he might be ready to return to the form that saw him have a breakout year in 2014.
It might be another year but it looks like it will be the same old Joel Selwood and Patrick Dangerfield. The star duo again led the way for the Cats on Sunday, posting massive scores.
Outside of the two superstars, George Horlin-Smith needs to be on your radar heading into Round 1. The midfielder costs just $234,000 and has been posting some big numbers throughout the pre-season. Following 119 last week, Horlin-Smith scored 80 on Sunday.
Meanwhile for the Bombers, Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti is quickly proving last year’s breakout season was no fluke. The defender was at his SuperCoach scoring best on Sunday, sneaking forward to kick four goals and finish with 126 points. At $392,800, there will be plenty lining up to pick him.
Another Bomber to keep an eye on is rookie ruckman Shaun McKernan.
Following an injury to Matthew Leuenberger, McKernan will be promoted during the week and could be called upon for Round 1.
At just $277,500, he is certainly a cheap option to think about.
In the final game of the day, Tom Hickey ($458,100) put his hand up for a place in your rucks, scoring a whopping 146.
However, at $458,100, there will be cheaper ruck options out there.
He may be listed as a defender but the Swans want Zak Jones to spend a lot more time in the midfield this year. The signs are already there that some big scores will be on the way. Jones scored 103 on Sunday night and at $307,000, he should be closely looked at for your side.
