AFL 2024: All the SuperCoach scores from Super Saturday, round 21
It was a remarkable day of footy on Super Saturday – and there were some equally eye-catching SuperCoach numbers. So much so, a big call has already been made. Recap all the action and scores.
SuperCoach
Don't miss out on the headlines from SuperCoach. Followed categories will be added to My News.
Port Adelaide have finished Saturday night with a massive 112-point victory over the ladder leaders, Sydney Swans, to hand them their fourth loss in five weeks.
The Power kept the Swans scoreless for a quarter and a half, claiming two records in process with the highest margin against a scoreless side and John Longmire’s worst loss as a coach.
While Mitch McGovern looked to be the hero for Carlton, trying to repeat what he did in 2017 when he was at Adelaide to kick a goal after the siren, only then it was to draw, this time it was to win.
McGovern miss kicked it and the Pies held on to win by three points to keep their finals hopes alive and to claim the four points for Scott Pendlebury’s 400th game.
It was a massive Saturday for SuperCoaches, here are three big takeaways from Saturday’s action.
THE BIGGEST LOCK FOR 2025?
It could arguably be Harry Sheezel, but this SuperCoach season has proved just how important a quality ruck can be.
So, my first pick of 2025 will be Tristan Xerri – and I encourage you to do the same.
Before adding a 144 to his tally today, his five round average sits at 126.2, and he has recorded 15 tons – currently ten in a row.
- Chloe Williams
JEZ DOES MY HEAD IN
You could make a claim that Jeremy Cameron is arguably the best forward in the game, especially when he is on like he was against Adelaide, kicking six goals to finish with 117 points.
But the inconsistency he has had in the middle of this year makes me wonder, do you add him knowing they play Fremantle, St Kilda and West Coast in the last three weeks?
If he plays like he did today, then you will be licking your lips at seasons end.
- Jake Garland
SPREAD THE BUTTERS’
Zak Butters will drop in price this week, falling 30 short from his breakeven and coaches should be very, very happy with that if you don’t ahve him.
The Power come up against Melbourne, Adelaide and Fremantle to finish the year, three sides he has already played this season.
He scored 90 in round 3 against the Demons, 130 in round 5 against Fremantle and 124 against Adelaide in round 8.
He has been kept quiet in recent weeks before the 135 tonight, watch him and the Power surge in the next three weeks as they chase a top four spot.
- Jake Garland
Tristan Xerri, Harry Sheezel and Luke Davies-Uniacke ignited their side to a 13-point victory which has lifted them further away from the wooden spoon.
All three Roos are pushing for All-Australian contention and continue to be an asset to SuperCoach sides.
Davies-Uniacke recorded a career-high three goals to accompany 142 points, sitting in only 10% of teams.
A massive Super Saturday of action continues now as Geelong furthers its finals push against Adelaide.
Collingwood and Carlton face off tonight in Scott Pendlebury’s 400th game, while Port Adelaide and Sydney meet in a mini final in the other Saturday night fixture.
Follow live updates and SuperCoach analysis all day below.
10:10PM: SUPERCOACH LEADERS
The Power have handed John Longmire his worst loss as a coach at the Swans with a massive 112-point win at Adelaide Oval.
Willie Rioli and Mitch Georgiades both kicked four goals but it was Willem Drew who finished with 32 disposals, six marks, six tackles, eight clearances and two goal assists to finish with 161 SuperCoach points.

9:57PM: UNWANTED RECORD CLOSES
John Longmire has coached Sydney for 327 games with his biggest loss 93 points and that record looks like it could well be broken tonight/
The Power hold a 97 point lead half way through the final term.
It would also go with the 89 point loss in 2015 to Hawthorn and the 81 point loss to Geelong in the 2022 grand final.
9:37PM: SUPERCOACH LEADERS
The Swans may not have won the third quarter but the only conceded four goals compared to seven in the opening quarter and six in the second.
Willem Drew sits on 124 SuperCoach points with Dixon (107) and Georgiades (101) all breaking the triple figures as Errol Gulden has slid into the top 10, the only Swans player.
9:28PM: FORWARDS FORM RETURNS
Charlie Dixon hasn’t had the best year, his stats prove that kicking just 18 goals from 13 games heading into their clash with the Swans.
But the Power forward has booted three goals to go with his 10 disposals, seven hit outs, two marks, a tackle and a clearance to break the 100 mark, the third time this year and he is on target to break his highest score of 123 in round 19, which he booted four goals against Richmond.
9:10PM: ELECTRICAL CURRENT SURGING
Port Adelaide have kicked the opening two goals of the second half to extend their lead out to 89 points over the Sydney Swans.
The Power now hold the all time record for biggest margin over a scoreless side, kicking 11.5 (71) before the Swans finally hit the scoreboard thanks to a rushed behind.

8:51PM: SUPERCOACH LEADERS
As the Power have absolutely dominated the opening half, it will come as now shock to anyone that the top 10 SuperCoach scorers on the ground are from Port Adelaide
Willem Drew running out on top in the first half with 84 points, closely followed by four-goals Mitch Georgiades on 80 and power forward Charlie Dixon has wound back the clock sitting on 79 points.
8:45PM: POWER SURGE AT ADELAIDE
The Power have completely manhandled the ladder leaders Sydney Swans at Adelaide oval in the first half.
Thw Swans kicked their opening score midway through the second quarter, with the Power now holding a 77 point lead at main break.
Mitch Georgiades has four goals with Willie Rioli three while Isaac Heeney is the only goal scorer for the Swans.

8:38PM: BLUES MAKE SUB
Adam Cerra has been subbed out with a hamstring injury, bringing Matthew Kennedy into the game late in the second quarter.
George Hewett continues to hold the SuperCoach lead on 75 with Darcy Cameron (67) is hot on his heels.

8:28PM: SWANS LATE START
Sydney have kicked their first score in the clash with Port Adelaide at the Adelaide Oval, a rushed behind at the 17th minute mark of the second quarter.
The Power kicked seven goals in the opening quarter and have booted a further four more to hold a 70 point lead late in the second quarter.

8:16PM: PIES FLYING EARLY
Collingwood have kicked the opening two goals in the second quarter to take it out to a 15 point lead.
Mason Cox kicked the opening goal before McStay kicked his first just 90 seconds later.
Nick Daicos has continued his form from last weekend with 14 disposals in the opening 40 minutes of game time.
8:05PM: SUPERCOACH LEADERS
We are all tied up at the MCG in the blockbuster match with Carlton kicking their first goal from nine scoring shots right on the quarter time siren thanks to Harry McKay.
Carlton defender George Hewett sits on top with 48 SuperCoach points thanks to 10 disposals, four clearances, two tackles and a mark.

7:51PM: FINALLY THE OPENER
It took almost 19 minutes for the first goal of the night between Carlton and Collingwood to be kicked and it was done so through Jordan De Goey.
In a back and forth opening quarter, Mitch McGovern sits on 29 SuperCoach points with Nic Newman (25) and Jeremy Howe (23) close on his tail.
7:35PM: FULL TIME LEADERS
It was the dramatic finish no one saw coming at GMHBA Stadium as the Cats were able to hang on by five points over the Crows.
Jeremy Cameron booted six to become the match winner to finish on 117 SuperCoach points, equal with Crows ruckman O’Brien but it was Tom Stewart who again showed his class finishing with 120 points.
7:20PM: TEAMS LOCKED IN
There have been no late changes for Scott Pendlebury’s 400th clash as the Pies look to keep their finas hopes alive, taking on rivals Carlton at the MCG.
Patrick Lipinski will be the sub for the Pies while Matthew Kennedy is the sub for Carlton.
There has been a late change for the Swans with Joel Amartey replaced in the selected side by Peter Ladhams.
Quinton Narkle is the sub for the Power while Luke Parker is the sub for the Swans.
No late changes for #AFLPiesBlues.

7:11PM: LATE SUB MADE
The Crows have subbed out midfielder Matt Crouch, bringing on youngster Dan Curtin as the Cats have hit the front with two minutes to go.
Lawson Humphries snapped around the corner to kick his first AFL goal as the Cats top four look to be locked as Cameron kicks his sixth just a minute later to push it out to an 11 point lead.
7:00PM: IMPORTANT 10 MINUTES
The Crows hold a two point lead with 10 minutes to go in their clash with Geelong and it is close to the most important 10 minutes of the Cats season.
If Geelong lose they will drop to seventh before travelling to Perth next week to take on Fremantle and a loss in the west could mean they are out of the eight.
O’Brien launches himself to be the SuperCoach leader with 124 points, with Bruhn (105), Cameron (103), Thilthorpe (102), Stewart (102) and Dawson (101) all above the triple digit mark.
6:45PM: SUPERCOACH LEADERS
Jeremy Cameron leads all comers as the first player on the ground to reach triple figures but it is the Crows ruckman Reilly O’Brien who has hit triple figures, the first for Adelaide.
Tom Stewart (96) and Tanner Bruhn (94) close in on the 100 mark as the Crows hit the front late in the third quarter to hold a three point lead.
Crows skipper Jordan Dawson sits on 88 points, a nice welcome back for him and 12.7 per cent of SuperCoaches.
Sam De Koning has been subbed out and Jack Bowes has come into the game at three quarter time.
6:34PM: CROWS CLAW BACK
Crows livewire forward Josh Rachele has kicked two in a row as Adelaide have kicked the last four to take the lead late in the third quarter.
Injury to insult for the Cats as defender Sam De Koning dropped to the floor with a suspected knee injury in the shadows of three-quarter time.

6:16PM: CATS KICK AWAY
Eyes were on the Cats to respond after the Crows kicked the opening goal to peg the score bag to just two points early in the third quarter.
But the Cats responded kicking the next three goals through Cameron (twice) and Bruhn as Jezza kicked five for the night and breaks the 100 SuperCoach point mark, the first time since round 17 he will hit three digits.

6:06PM: THILTHORPE OPENS UP
The Crows have kicked the opening goal thanks to the man mountain Riley Thilthorpe who bags his second and becomes the Crows SuperCoach leading scorer on the ground.
The 50 gamer slotted one around the corner to peg the Crows back to just two points as he heads to 77 SuperCoach points and just one goal behind Cats forward Jeremy Cameron who sits equal with Thilthorpe on 77 points.
5:45PM: SUPERCOACH LEADERS
Crows power forwards Riley Thilthorpe and Taylor Walker combined for three of Adelaide’s four goals in the second quarter to keep them at within two kicks at the half time break.
While Cats’ Jeremy Cameron leads all comers on the ground with three goals to go with his 12 disposals, four marks and two tackles to sit on 74 SuperCoach points with Tom Stewart on 66 points and Thilthorpe on 64 points.
5:26PM: FOSSIL FIRING
The age of Taylor Walker is not worrying him as the former Crows skipper kicked his second of the quarter to bring Adelaide back to eight points.
Walker sits on 37 SuperCoach points, and has kicked as many as his counterpart Jeremy Cameron with Cameron sitting on 60 SuperCoach points.
That's now 2ï¸â£ for Texð
— Adelaide Crows (@Adelaide_FC) August 3, 2024
5:08PM: SUPERCOACH LEADERS
Cats’ Tom Stewart led the way for the Cats with nine disposals, equal with Crows’ Rory Laird at the quarter time break.
But it was forwards Jeremy Cameron and Tyson Stengle who lead all comers for SuperCoach points as the Cats hold an eight point lead at the first break.
4.57PM: CROWS RESPOND
The visitors have settled the contest to take the margin back to two points late in the quarter.
Laird (30 points) has been immense with nine disposals, while Hinge (20 points) has been impactful down back.
The latter has put up big numbers as of late, with three tons in his past five outings.
4.49PM: MIND YOUR MANNAGH’S
Popular rookie Shaun Mannagh has provided a late boost to SuperCoach sides, and records the Cats’ second goal.
They’ve now had five scoring shots to Adelaide’s one.
Another great sight for SuperCoaches is Lawson Humphries taking kick ins - he sits on 22 points.
4.46PM: RUCKS AWAY
Fremantle, St Kilda, West Coast. That is who lies in front of the Cats, and it’s their ruckmen who you should be looking at.
Reilly O’Brien only has six SuperCoach points to his name, but has recorded 11 hit outs against Geelong’s makeshift ruck setup.
Otherwise, look to Sam De Koning at $410k as a POD play.
4.43PM: KEEP WATCH
Jeremy Cameron has come to the bench with an eye complaint.
Meanwhile, the Cats lead the clearances 7-1 but have been unable to record a major score.
4.32PM: SUBS NAMED AT GMHBA
Jack Bowes (GEEL) and Dan Curtin (ADEL) will start as the substitutes for this evening’s match.
FT SuperCoach Analysis
Xerri and Davies-Uniacke were immense for North Melbourne, while Sheezel’s involvement after quarter time helped secure victory for the Roos.
Nankervis was also immense despite not taking home the four points, while McKercher lifted late to break the ton.
Here are the full time scores:
4.21PM: R1 2025?
Xerri has well and truly staked his claim on the R1 spot to start the 2025 season.
Currently sitting on 144 points, his presence has been influential in lifting North Melbourne towards it’s third victory of 2024.
Lock him in as your first pick next year.
4.11PM: DUSTY DONE?
It’s his first game back, but Dusty hasn’t look himself.
Given the chance to rally his side and bring them back into the contest with a long-range set shot, he never wanted to take it.
Passing it off to Graham, who missed left, proved to be the wrong decision.
The Tigers star still looks sore, but with speculation of his move up North, it seems just as likely that he will hang up the boots for good?
Richmond have kicked 1.4 in the final term, going at 55% efficiency by foot.
4.02PM: LARKEY FIRES
Larkey has missed only one goal from inside 30m, and his streak continues today as he records his fifth major score.
He sits on 88 SuperCoach points, and is in only 2% of teams.
Meanwhile, McKercher remains on only 76 after a 42-point first quarter.
3QT SuperCoach Analysis
North Melbourne overcame Richmond in the third term, leading the inside 50s 16-7 - contrary to the first quarter.
After conceding 20 inside 50s in the first, the Roos have now conceded only 21 across the following two terms.
Nankervis (117) and Xerri (111) remain in a tight head-to-head battle, but the leaderboard remains overcome with blue and white.
Many Tigers have gone missing, while Davies-Uniacke (118), Sheezel (87) and Powell (84) taking control at the contest.
McKercher’s scoring capacity has been stifled as Jaidyn Stephenson was spotted taking kick ins ... ouch.
Here are the leaders:
3.46PM: ROUGH START, NO WORRIES
Sheezel has dominated the third term with three goal assists, five score involvements, 10 disposals and three clearances.
North Melbourne lead contested possession 27-20 and clearance 11-7 this quarter.
3.40PM: PERSONAL BEST
On the Fox broadcast, Leigh Montagna called LDU’s goal ‘one of the worst goal’s you’ll see.’
But, it gives him his career best haul of three goals with a quarter to play.
He rises to 109 points, with 22 disposals at 82% efficiency.
3.39PM: TON = BROKEN
Toby Nankervis (103) is the first player to break the ton, with Davies-Uniacke (90) on his tail.
It is an impressive return following a concussion against Port Adelaide.
3.33PM: MCINTOSH ACTIVATED
Kamdyn McIntosh comes into the contest, replacing Steely Green (ankle).
Meanwhile, another Sheezel-to-Larkey play ends in a goal - an instant reply for the Roos.
3.29PM: RUCKS ON THE RUN HOME
Your choice of SuperCoach rucks could be the difference in your head to head finals.
Xerri (76) and Nankervis (91) are proving their worth as point of difference picks for the run home, both easily on track to break the ton.
It's not all about the spoon - a huge #SuperCoach ruck battle awaits us at Marvel Stadium.

3.27PM: STEPHENS OUT
Dylan Stephens (ankle) has been subbed out for North Melbourne, with Robert Hansen Jr coming into the action.
3.26PM: YOUNG GUN INFLUENCES
Sheezel has only had two disposals in the last five minutes of play, but they have heavily influenced the contest, lifting him to 59 points as he assists Nick Larkey.
HT SuperCoach Analysis
Davies-Uniacke ripped the second quarter apart, rising to 74 points, while Xerri began to overcome Nankervis.
The SuperCoach leaderboard is all blue and white at the main break, with the Roos sitting +28 in possession despite registering 13 less inside 50s.
Sheezel sits on 43 points and will need to lift to break the ton while going head to head with Daniel Rioli.
Here are the leaders:
2.51PM: COMBEN PROPPY
He appears to be carrying both an ankle and groin complaint, but Comben remainds on field for the Kangaroos.
For Richmond, Tom Brown has too been treated for an ankle issue.
Meanwhile, LDU has provided yet another goal assist, with Graham no longer tagging the powerful mid.
Will moves be made at the main break?
2.35PM: LDU FIRES
I saw Graham heading to the bench and thought, this should be interesting.
A perfect tap from Xerri landed in LDU’s lap, and he utilised his signature burst to record yet another goal on the run.
He new leads the scoring for the Kangaroos, as McKercher’s disposals dry up.
What a star.
2.33PM: DUUUUURSMA
That was HUGE.
Zane Duursma has taken a mark of the year contender.
Unfortunately, Xerri was unable to top it off with a goal - but it was one of the best sits this year.
DUURSMA! ð¤¯ð¤¯ð¤¯

2.26PM: TAG SWAPPED
Graham looks to have gone to Davies-Uniacke to start the second term.
It’s good news for Sheezel owners, but not so much for the 17,468 LDU owners.
He does sit on 40 points already, though.
Graham’s clearance count of four is currently a game high.
QT SuperCoach Analysis
Richmond has recorded 21 inside 50s to North Melbourne’s 11.
It’s dominance hasn’t translated to the scoreboard, but it has boosted plenty of popular SuperCoach stars’ numbers.
Comben (36) and McKercher (42) have been the beneficiaries of this forward half dominance, while Sheezel (21) recovered after failing to find the footy early.
Nankervis (36) is just ahead of Xerri (25), while rookie Tom Brown sits on -2 ... luckily, he’s only in 4% of teams.
2.11PM: WIN SOME, LOSE SOME
Luke Davies-Uniacke, who sits in 10% of teams, gave away a goal at one end.
But, lucky for North Melbourne, he replied with one of his own in a matter of minutes.
With an average of 108.7, he sits at 28 points so far.
2.07PM: COMBEN FLYS
He’s flying on field - literally - and flying in SuperCoach.
25 points already.
With an average of 78.4, he’s proving a worthy pick for those who grabbed him at $227K.
2.02PM: SHEEZ IS BACK
Back as in, back in the game.
I doubt Clarkson will send him back now, as his influence in the forward half remains potent.
An iffy handball, however, will cost him a free kick against and his side a goal.
1.59PM: 50TH GAMER FIRES
Rhyan Mansell adds to Richmond’s tally in his 50th game.
As it goes back to the middle, Sheezel is finally able to win a clearance and the Roos get it forward.
Nankervis (22 points) has one less hit out than Xerri (10 points), but has been more damaging so far.
Boundary brilliance from Bolton to set up Mansell ð®âð¨#AFLNorthTigerspic.twitter.com/CEj8EN5pW8
— AFL (@AFL) August 3, 2024
1.57PM: GRAHAM’S BACK
We were so busy worrying about Campbell, we forgot about Graham.
After performing a tagging role in his last match, he is following Sheezel’s every move.
1.55PM: SHEEZEL BACK?
North Melbourne is struggling to exit its back half, and Sheezel (0 points) is yet to record a touch.
Meanwhile, McKercher (23 points) has nine disposals ... will Clarkson swing Sheezel back to involve him in the game and inject more composure behind the ball?
1.48PM: TIGERS STRIKE FIRST
Steely Green has the first goal of Super Saturday, but it came at a SuperCoach expense.
McKercher was run down by Green and called for holding the ball - not what those who held wanted to see straight up.
The Tigers’ pressure has been hot early, whilst they’ve also recorded the first two clearances and the first four inside 50s.
Will Wardlaw’s absence leave the Tigers’ mids to run rampant?
1.32PM: DUSTY’S BACK
It’s not all that SuperCoach relevant, but Dustin Martin returns after a month on the sidelines.
With all the speculation surrounding his future, Richmond fans and footy lovers alike will just be glad to see him out there.
1.30PM: RUCK ‘N’ ROLL
Toby Nankervis returns for the Tigers, and as a result, two popular PODs will go head to head.
While Tristan Xerri’s ownership has risen to 17% when considering all coaches, Nankervis’ has fallen to just 2.3% after being sidelined with a back injury.
This match-up is also vital to who can claim the ... well, anti-Wooden Spoon? I don’t know.
Who will come out on top?
1.25PM: KEEP WATCH
Harry Sheezel is the big watch for today after recording a career-high 160 points last week.
SuperCoach stats are the only metric of success, right?
— SuperCoach AFL (@Supercoach) July 30, 2024
Either way, Harry Sheezel is having a HUGE year ð¥#SuperCoach#AFLpic.twitter.com/VPmSpcagAv
13.6% of coaches in the top 1% are trusting the young gun to lift as their captain, which will be vital to shaping the run home after Marcus Bontempelli’s 182-point feat last night.
The tag looms, but Richmond have conceded the most SuperCoach points to midfielders this year.
Will he break his record once more?
1.15PM: DECISIONS, DECISIONS
There is plenty of SuperCoach action to keep your eyes on at Marvel Stadium, even if you don’t have any trades left.
The decisions you’ve made with your final trades could be vital in securing a top score this week - Xerri or Nankervis? Did you hold Colby McKercher? Ran out of trades and have Fisher trapped in your side?
Make sure to utilise your DPP players, and our optimise feature, to get him off your field if this is the case.
