THE Suns’ rise up the ladder has shocked the AFL world – but Warwick Capper predicts there is more to come.
The 1980s full forward icon, who lined up at Carrara during his Brisbane Bears days, says Gold Coast can finish in the top three in 2020.

That would be an epic rise for a club on a three-game winning run, a streak that was preceded by a 19-match losing sequence which netted last year’s wooden spoon.
“I reckon top three,” Capper told Triple M’s The Rush Hour on Monday.
“It’s taken 20 years but they’re getting there.
“I'm hoping top three and maybe a flag, you never know, because it’s an unusual year.
“Anything can happen – look at Richmond. They have won two flags in three years and they haven’t won a game so it’s wide open.”
Like the rest of the footy world, Capper heaped praise on young gun Matt Rowell.
“I like that guy who’s got red hair and looks like Brad Hardie, the ‘ranga’,” he said.
