Brayden Crossley is out-of-contract and the Suns are weighing up whether to keep him on the list given he has played 10 games in two seasons and is facing a four-year drug ban for returning a positive match-day urine test to a cocaine metabolite before the May 25 NEAFL game against Sydney.

He is currently under investigation by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority and has denied deliberately using cocaine.

It puts both the Suns and Crossley’s in an awkward position.

Gold Coast could delist Brayden and then potentially pick up Ashton at the draft, leaving one heartbroken and the other having his celebrations impacted.
