THE Surfers Paradise QAFL team song will welcome a back a touch of class should the Demons record an important win over Labrador on Saturday.
The Demons will welcome back in-form player and recent The Voice contestant Rene Le Feuvre after missing last week’s win over Sandgate due to illness.
Le Feuvre, a former Suns academy member, is adept at both football and singing and progressed through to the knockout stages of The Voice earlier this year while being coached by Boy George.
Surfers Paradise coach Brad Moore said his coaching, and dress, style was a bit more conservative than Boy George’s but one thing he did know was the addition of Le Feurve would boost the Demons forward line.
“He is talented off the field as well and he puts the guys to shame in the team song,” Moore said.
“His football has gone to a really competitive level this year and he is playing at a consistent standard so I’m looking forward to seeing him back in the side.”
Le Feuvre will replace defender Jack Taylor in the only change for today’s Round 13 game at Cooke Murphy Oval.
“We have enough key defenders at the moment so we brought in another small forward for the game,” Moore said.
“We just need him at the fall of the ball. We have some good marking options with Brody Haberfield playing forward with Tom Howard and Daniel Green so it’s about making sure we have enough crumbers on the ground.”
The stability of the side comes at a crucial time for Surfers Paradise who sit fourth on the ladder and only four points ahead of the Western Magpies and Morningside.
