Dane Swan has always done things his own way. And that includes when picking his own “best 22”.
Like many of us, the Collingwood champion is taking the AFL shutdown as a time to look back on some of the champions of the past.
But these champions aren’t just on the field.
Speaking on his podcast Swanny and Friends, the Collingwood Brownlow Medallist revealed two superstar teams.
The first is the team of players who were the best off-field teammates.
“It is a side (of players) that obviously liked to enjoy themselves. They might be fun around the footy club and don’t take themselves too seriously.”

Swan’s second side involved the best players he ever played with – however, with one condition.
“I wouldn’t put a s*** bloke in either side because I wouldn’t have given them credit either way.
“If you’re not in here and you think you (should be) I probably don’t like ya.”
