“I got a bit emotional which is unlike me and I think just shows how much it means,” Uwland told CODE Sports’ Chasing The Dream documentary after officially becoming a Sun with pick 2.

He didn’t have long to compose himself – new coach Damien Hardwick was calling.

Then it was a big embrace with fellow draftee Cooper Duff-Tytler, before the new Eagle was off to meet his new teammate Harley Reid.

And that was just the start.

But in the whirlwind of draft night, there was another dream hanging in the balance – Matt LeRay’s.
