Carlton’s advertising team has scrambled to cancel its membership day following the club’s shock loss to Richmond on Thursday.
The Blues were set to have their membership day on SEN, offering discounted deals for fans and interviewing several players after what was supposed to be a convincing win over rivals Richmond.
But the club moved swiftly to postpone the promotion after the loss at the MCG, taking the advertisements off the air.
They didn’t move quickly enough though, with a prerecorded voiceover from Carlton fan Andy Maher hitting the airwaves earlyon Friday.
“Footy is even better when you’re a member and today you’re in luck Bluebaggers because it’s Carlton membership day,” he saidin the advertisement.
There is no set date for the postponed membership day.
