But now she is relishing the chance to be one of several names on the goal kickers list after her teammates cashed in against Richmond on the weekend to secure an 11 point win.

Perry was one of four individual goal kickers, Kate Surman kicking two, as the Suns showed early signs of their attacking potential.

“The midfield connection to the forward line really worked against Richmond,” Perry said.

“We had a limited amount of forward entries in the GWS game and we did what we could with them but we got it in a lot more against Richmond and were able to really capitalise.

“It was good to see some of the midfielders get down there and finish off as well.”

THE SURPRISING WAY SUNS MEMORISED AFLW TEAM SONG

The 25-year-old was thrilled when the siren sounded against the Tigers in more ways than one.

“I cramped right before the siren so I was stoked and really happy we came through with the win,” Perry joked.

“We were jumping around and getting around each other.

“We went into that game knowing what type of footy we could play but to be able to pull that out on game day was awesome.”

HOW TO MAKE AN AFLW DEBUT

The Suns will continue their AFLW campaign against the Brisbane Lions this Saturday at Metricon Stadium in the inaugural AFLW QClash.
