A HEARTBREAKING season-ending injury to one player and the arrival of a former Richmond VFL player, this week’s QAFL team changes is massive.
Headlining the team news is the loss of Broadbeach Cats player Jack O’Shea who suffered a partial tear in his ACL at training on Tuesday.
“It was out of nothing really. He was bumped off the ball with a bit of contact and it all got twisted,” Cats football manager Matt Littlechild said.
“The experts said it looks like a car crash-type injury.”
Meanwhile, Lachy Williams will play for Palm Beach Currumbin after spending time on Richmond’s VFL list.
Surfers Paradise will have to play without inspiring captain Brody Haberfield for their clash with Morningside at home.
Haberfield is struggling with a bulging disc in his back.
