A prolific developer has snapped up another central Palm Beach site and unveiled plans for a residential unit complex.
Sherpa Property Group has secured the Cash Converters building on the corner of Sixth Ave and Gold Coast Highway for a 102-unit complex which will be dubbed Flourish Ovana.
It will sit on the northern side of Sixth Ave, across the road from the company’s proposed Flourish on Sixth building.
Sherpa boss Christie Leet said the decision to buy more land in Palm Beach for another residential project came after selling more than 80 per cent of units in Flourish on Sixth in a handful of months.
“Following the success of Flourish on Sixth, we are extremely excited to unveil plans for another site in Palm Beach that continues the Flourish legacy. We are particularly proud of the product typologies and unit mix which, among others, allow first-home buyers to get a foothold in the market,” he said.
“Palm Beach is a vibrant and rapidly evolving coastal hub, and we’re proud to be playing a role in delivering high-quality housing at an ideal entry price point.
“Our commitment is to address housing affordability while promoting long-term wellbeing through supportive, integrated communities.”
Mr Leet said the project would launch to the market later this year.
According to documents lodged with the council, the 12-storey building will be a mixed-use complex with retail and eateries planned for the ground-level.
It is expected to have four basement levels of carparking with space for 196 vehicles.
The existing commercial building, plus another on Sixth Ave will be demolished to make way for the new project, which will be Sherpa’s sixth in Palm Beach in the past three years.
