One of the remaining beachfront fibro houses is set for demolition, with plans unveiled for a new mansion on the Gold Coast’s exclusive “millionaire’s row”. SEE THE PLANS:

Plans have been unveiled for a new mansion on the beachfront side of the Gold Coast’s exclusive “millionaire’s row”.

The three-storey luxury house has been pitched for a Hedges Ave site by Dan Robinson and Tani Brown and would replace a two-storey fibro building which sits between Arthur and Tamborine streets.

The existing house will be demolished.

According to the plans lodged with Gold Coast City Council, it will have an underground garage on its basement level and seven bedrooms, including a master bedroom which would look out over the beachfront and the proposed future route of the Oceanway.

It will have a lit which runs between all levels of the house, as well as an underground multipurpose room and backyard pool with beach views.

It is the latest is a series of high-end luxury mansions which have been pitched for the exclusive street in the past year.

Lindsay Sinclair, founder of well-known bathroom fittings company Highgrove, lodged plans with the council to build a palatial four-level home on the corner of Hedges Ave and Alfred St in May.

He bought the site, which has sat empty for more than 12 years, from developer John Potter in 2018 for $4.6m.

Meanwhile, a 993 sqm site on the corner of Hedges Ave and Ocean Street sold for a record $26m in July.
