$4m giant sales centre planned for $860m three-tower Surfers Paradise project
A developer is spending $4m – the price of a mansion on the Coast’s flashest street – on a temporary project which will be the largest of its kind in the entire southern hemisphere.

A DEVELOPER is planning to build the largest property sales suite in the southern hemisphere to sell units in a giant three-tower project in Surfers Paradise.
SPG Land will build a $4m, 2000 sqm showroom on a block between Ferny Ave and Surfers Paradise Boulevard, before pulling it down and building its $880m Paradiso Place towers.
SPG Land CEO Simon Wong said the giant sales suite, which will resemble the base of the first tower, would be open in December.
“We have spared no expense with the sales gallery so that we can bring to life our vision for this prominent site for everyone to appreciate first-hand,” he said.
“That vision is for Paradiso Place to become a must-visit destination on the Gold Coast, and a true lifestyle paradise for residents who will benefit from our unique design and the renaissance that it will bring to Surfers Paradise.
“Every detail has been considered for our sales gallery to replicate what the customer will be buying and experiencing when completed. For customers located.”
The previous record holder was the Soul tower’s sale suite more than a decade ago.
The building will feature full-sides replicas of the two and three-bedroom units which will be inside the tri-tower complex once completed. It will be demolished once construction of the project begins in 2022.
Submitted to council in July the project is the most high-density project planned for the city in 20 years, containing more units than Jewel and Southport Central.
The three towers will be 38, 40 and 42 storeys, while the Australian-first suspended lap pool will be 26 levels up.
The 1.15ha site has largely remained empty for more than 20 years. In 2018 it was briefly the home of the city’s first snow park.
Graham Goldman, managing director of project manager Eastview Australia, said he expected the Gold Coast City Council would approve the mega development within months.
“We’ve responded to all requests for information from the City of Gold Coast and the Queensland state government and we are looking forward to moving ahead with this iconic new development as soon as possible,” he said.
The first stage of the development will have 258 units, though no pricing details have been released.
