CONSTRUCTION has begun on a $100m Rainbow Bay tower which will rise over one of the world’s most famous beaches.
More than 80 per cent of the 21 high-end skyhomes inside the 13-storey Rockpool Rainbow Bay tower have already been sold.
Tomkins Commercial has been appointed to build the tower pitched by developer Joe Adsett Architects.
Mr Adsett said the remaining unsold units, three full-floor penthouses, would be released to the market in April
“I am pleased to announce Rockpool is well and truly underway, and we look forward to seeing our vision come to life,” he said.
“Tomkins have been one of Queensland’s leading construction companies for over 70 years and they are well equipped to ensure the delivery of the project.”
The Marine Parade development is one of a range of new towers which are being built in the Gold Coast’s southernmost suburbs.
There are more than 13 luxury projects under construction or being sold.
