ONE of the Gold Coast’s most prominent wedding venues is on the market amid the biggest matrimonial boom in decades.
Austinvilla Estate at Austinville has been put up for sale by operator Synergy Enterprises, with more than 200 events already lined up on its calendar.
Bookings have already spilt into 2024.
All forward bookings will be unaffected by the sale.
Company direct Noel Mewett said the estate had been a “labour of love” for himself and fellow directors Brad Welten and Tracey Welten.
“When we first looked at the property six years ago it was overgrown and in a state of disrepair,” he said.
“We knew we would have to spend some money but we loved the site so much and had a vision for what it could become.”
The property is being marketed by Kollosche agents Adam Grbcic and Tony Grbcic, with an expression of interest campaign closing on December 6.
The 46ha site can host up to 130 guests and has won several industry awards, with its honeymoon suite experience twice named Queensland’s best
“The wedding industry is booming on the Gold Coast and, since Covid, couples have been forward booking and prefer to stay local but there is a serious shortage of venues,” Adam Grbcic said.
