Popular bagel shop O Bagel opens second Broadbeach location at The Oasis

A Gold Coast bagel empire, which has sold almost two million bagels since 2021, is set to open their fourth store. SEE WHAT’S ON THE MENU.

A bagel shop on the Gold Coast has become so popular it has expanded to two stores in the one suburb.

O Bagel will open their fourth store, and second in Broadbeach, inside The Oasis shopping centre on Surf Pde in June.

Founder and co-director Nick Jang said their first store on the Gold Coast Hwy in Broadbeach had limited seating, so the new space was bigger and better.

“We’ve received so much love from locals so we wanted to give them a better atmosphere and more seating options,” he said.

“The first store will become more for grab-and-go and takeaway style and this one will be more for eating in.”

Customers will be able to enjoy some of O Bagel’s most loved creations including their Good Morning breakfast bagel, Classic Lox with salmon and herb cream cheese and Easy Avo with whipped feta.

Mr Jang, who was previously a chef for 15 years, opened the first store Broadbeach store with his wife in October 2021.

The business, which has more than 30,000 followers on Instagram, also has stores in Southport and Brisbane CBD plus in Seoul in South Korea which opened in August last year.

They have since sold almost two million bagels across three stores.

“We would work 18 hours a day … and now we have another store in The Oasis, a the signature shopping centre in Broadbeach,” he said.

“It doesn’t feel real yet.”

“It probably won’t hit me until grand opening.”

O Bagel’s new store will open on June 6 daily from 7am to 3pm and is located next to The Loose Moose.
