HEROIC bus passengers sprung to action Sunday evening when their driver suddenly became unconscious while travelling on the M1.

Those travelling on the Reedy Creek bus reportedly jumped into action and assisted with the control of the vehicle while the driver suffered the medical episode.

The incident occurred in the northbound lane of the Highways just after 9:46pm last night.

The bus, believed to be a charter was brought to a stop without serious incident, and the driver was transported in a stable condition to Robina Hospital for further assessment.
