She was one of the last to arrive at the Oscars but Lady Gaga has stolen the show in a dramatic strapless gown.
Far from her infamous ‘meat’ dress days, A Star Is Born’s Gaga looked flawless in Alexander McQueen, complete with long black gloves, and dripping with Tiffany diamonds worth more than $US30 million.
The Best Actress nominee, 32, sported a 128.54 carat necklace that has only been worn three times in 142 years (including by Audrey Hepburn in a Breakfast at Tiffany’s photo shoot)
Academy Award winners Charlize Theron and Brie Larson also turned heads on the red carpet outside the Dolby Theatre, as did Game of Thrones’ star Emilia Clarke and Aquaman Jason Momoa, wearing a blush-coloured suit designed for Fendi by the late Karl Lagerfeld.

But it was Gaga, newly single after splitting from ex-fiance Christian Carino, who has been an absolute standout during this awards season, where she has worn Valentino, Fendi, Celine and Calvin Klein and now, Alexander McQueen.
Other stars chose to wear a sea of frilly and flowery pink gowns that were almost too tutu-like.
