Police are appealing to the community to help identify an alleged prolific petrol pilferer who they allege made off without paying for fuel from six Gold Coast servos in a car with false plates. Can you help?

Police are appealing to the community for help to bring an alleged prolific petrol pilferer to justice.

Police believe the man pictured next to the blue 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer, allegedly bearing false plates, may be able to assist their investigation.

As many as six Gold Coast service stations have been struck by the alleged petrol thief in May and in June. The petrol stations include Ross St at Benowa, Southport Nerang Rd at Molendinar, Ashmore Rd at Ashmore, Cotlew St at Ashmore, Slatyer Ave at Ashmore and Ferry Rd at Southport.

Police are hoping to identify two people who they believe can assist their investigation into the theft of goods from a sports store at Pacific Fair in June.

Police allege two people entered the store at around 5.30pm on June 25, picked up close to $1000 worth of goods, and left without attempting to pay.

Police believe the duo pictured can help their investigation into the alleged theft of two trolleys full of groceries from an Ormeau supermarket.

Two people allegedly entered the Eggersdorf Rd store just after 5pm on March 20, and loaded two trolleys with groceries totalling around $1000 in value. Police allege the man and woman then left without attempting to pay for the haul.
