Young child bitten by dog at Gold Coast home
A whopping six people have been bitten by dogs overnight in Queensland, with a dog set to be put down after mauling a young Gold Coast girl.

SIX people have been mauled by dogs across the state in mere hours, in a shocking spate of attacks.
Queensland Ambulance Service has revealed paramedics had been called to six incidents since Thursday afternoon.
It includes a Gold Coast child who was viciously attacked by a dog at about 6.20pm on Thursday.
The infant girl was bitten by the dog, a Neapolitan Mastiff, at a home in Helenvale.
Paramedics treated the child for “serious lacerations” to her entire face.

She was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the child remained conscious throughout her ordeal.
A city spokeswoman confirmed council was aware of the incident.
“The City was notified of an alleged dog attack involving a child about 8.30pm last night,” she said.
“Animal Management Officers responded immediately and attended the Helensvale address.
“A dog was surrendered to Officers at the time and will be euthanased at the request of the owner.”
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said victims of other recent dog attacks included a teenage girl and a woman in her 30s from Brisbane who suffered significant leg injuries after being bitten by a dog around 9.20pm.
Both were taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
